DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS
Pinuccio does not make his homework. Mirko is playing with the phone . David breaks the pens . Romoletto writes " I go home " , not using correct form. We are faced with new or old Pinocchio and jackasses ? What happens in the minds of many teenagers today ? To answer these questions is not enough to analyze the statistics of early school leaving or interpret the results of tests. We must investigate the emergencies of our social and cultural world , tied to the digital revolution , the crisis of the family , the splitting of information, the decadence of moral principles once thought insurmountable . The author has always been involved in the recovery of troubled teens , told with tenderness not without irony the splendor and fragility olds with whom he shares daily existence. Reflects on his experience as a teacher by choosing the point of view of repeating , that is the one that fails, but because of this can help us understand what went wrong and why. The assessment, known , the parents, the issue of voting , these and other nodes are addressed in the knowledge that the contemporary educational challenge is a decisive commitment to get out of an ethical crisis that affects us all.
This book ends with a picture of a different school: Penny Wirton, where he teaches the language to Italian immigrants and their children the "repeaters" have a chance to see each other with new eyes helping peers who come from all over the world
COMMENTS ON THIS PUBLICATION
Some steps explain the context and purpose of the book
"The repeating is often a student with personal or family issues that will certainly not be justified , but we adults must understand that if he makes a mistake, it does not never alone, but always with others. Take your point of view , as I did in this book, means to question what does not work , not only in the Italian school , but also in our society. The repeating , paradoxically, can give you the greatest satisfaction that the teacher is able to give back a little ' self-confidence . "

Just look into my eyes Romoletto , the repeating of that story in my praise , to understand that behind his indiscipline , behind his anger behind his restlessness , hides a cry for help : if we turned the other hand, we would not do our job well . "

Final Partners’ meeting

The fourth partners’ meeting took place in Florence (IT) on 15 December 2014. The meeting had the objective to check the activities carried out since the third meeting of the project and share and assess the in progress results. A special focus has been dedicated to the presentation of the strategies to solve the case scenarios.
