COMMENTS ON THIS PUBLICATION
While bullying in school is not a recent phenomenon , particular scientific attention has received in the last three decades. All surveys have been conducted in several countries have demonstrated the existence of bullying in a greater or lesser extent in schools (e.g. Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Greece, USA, United Kingdom, Japan, Ireland, Italy, Canada, China, Lithuania, New Zealand,Norway, South Africa, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey). In some of these countries, initiatives have been taken at national level to confront and prevent the phenomenon .
The most recent systematic reviews of research have pointed to the need to increase the number of components of intervention programs at all levels - individual, school, class, and for all members of the school community - students, parents, teachers .
They have also demonstrated the positive correlation of the duration and intensity of the program by reducing the scale of the phenomenon.
In this guide dealing with the phenomenon, an attempt is made to inform teachers of secondary education, at all levels above the action, and while special attention is given to the presentation of non punitive methods for managing bullying incidents.
