Meeting with the regional minister pro education

Description of Dissemination Event:

The meeting was convened by Mrs Stella Targetti, vicepresident of the Tuscany Region and commissioner for education. Were present, as well as representatives of CIPAT and the commissioner, the secretary of the cabinet and the new manager of the Vocational Training, Mr Gabriele Grondoni. The topics to be discussed were the activities that Cipat put in place both to improve the quality of the education system Tuscan and to contribute to the development of the new system of vocational education and training, as the interface of technical and vocational institutes in Tuscany. Italiano, as president of CIPAT, introducing the discussion recalled the many years of work carried out by Consortium on the issue of early school leaving (very high even in Tuscany) and focused in particular on the illustration of the School Safety Net project, indicating both partners that the methodological approach (data base of experiences, guidelines, case scenarios, target). The result was an intense discussion, which lasted about an hour and a half, after which it was agreed that a regional support to the activities that the consortium is doing. In particular, the commissioner will consider the opportunity to play a role as an associate partner of the School Safety Net project.
