DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS
The reading disorder (dyslexia) has been the subject of intense debate in the scientific community. From the moment of its "discovery" until today, there have been several definitions in an attempt to explain the phenomenon. The existence, however, of so many definitions is just a sign of the complexity of dyslexia, but also the involvement of scientists coming from different areas (physicians , psychologists, teachers , etc.). The initial approach of the phenomenon was made by doctors who focus on genital glitches or incomplete maturation of the central nervous system. However, during the latest decades we understood that dyslexia has an impact on the psychological state of the individual. Thus, the interest in its study shifted mainly in the field of psychology and pedagogy, giving a more pedagogical (and less medical) approach to the phenomenon.
