DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS
The study was prepared by a team of researchers of the Institute of Education Sciences in the period January to March 2011 with support from UNICEF Romania.
The study was conducted by a team of researchers from the Institute of Education Sciences in the period January-March 2011, with support from UNICEF Romania.
Also, this approach leverages the ISE team experience, gained through constant involvement in research projects on the issue of participation in education, especially of the categories of students disadvantaged: diagnostic study of the rural education, participation at education of children and young Gypsies, the longitudinal evaluation of the program for rural education, assessment educational system in terms of basic indicators, piloting the system of priority education areas in Romania, the integration of children with SEN in mainstream schools etc.
COMMENTS ON THIS PUBLICATION
The study reflects special concern for the situation of students at risk of dropping out or children and young people who have already left the education system.
This study is targeted schools from rural and peripheral areas of cities, where the school population is heterogeneous from point of view of the socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Using different methods of investigation, have established the main causes of dropout and the potential categories of students who drop out.
Authors, through this study, provides a more complete picture of the facts that can help a better understanding of appropriate methods of intervention, whether it's about system-wide policies or the county or local level interventions.

Final Partners’ meeting

The fourth partners’ meeting took place in Florence (IT) on 15 December 2014. The meeting had the objective to check the activities carried out since the third meeting of the project and share and assess the in progress results. A special focus has been dedicated to the presentation of the strategies to solve the case scenarios.
