Description of Contents
Incidents of dramatic and shocking violence have left teachers and students shaken, and nervous about the potential for violence at their school. Some threats and shooters at schools have led to the inevitable conclusion that serious violence could erupt anywhere, at any time. These concerns lead to an increasing focus on preventing school violence. The message which is given in this paper is that we have the ability to develop various school-based programs which significantly reduce the threat of serious violence and disruption. The purpose of this paper is to outline the current state of knowledge about school violence prevention.
Review
This paper is really expositive because it gives a lot of information about the problem itself. It tries to get at the bottom of a matter by asking rhetorical questions to understand the matter better. Moreover, it has useful aspects in that it shows many directions to overcome this problem. It suggests effective strategies as to how to prevent this problem.
